Comprehensive Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel Maintenance Guide

2014+ 3.0L EcoDiesel Maintenance Schedule, Fluid Capacity, & Parts List

The 3.0L EcoDiesel brought a whole new level of versatility and fuel efficiency to the Ram 1500, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and now even the Jeep Wrangler. It offers better fuel efficiency than their gasoline-powered counterparts and more torque to get the job done towing. Not only are the torque numbers higher, but peak torque is reached much quicker, below 2,000 rpms. This makes the EcoDiesel an ideal candidate for towing. While this engine is capable of handling the abuse, maintenance plays a crucial role. When you tow frequently, you need to perform maintenance more often, which can make it very expensive if you rely on the dealership. By performing the 3.0L EcoDiesel Maintenance yourself, you can save yourself money, and make sure your vehicle gets the right fluids, parts, and oil so it stays on the road longer.

To help 3.0L EcoDiesel owners everywhere, we decided to write a comprehensive guide on 3.0L EcoDiesel Maintenance. This guide will give you comprehensive Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel information including the proper maintenance schedule to follow, fluid capacity, and even the parts to perform maintenance properly. Let’s get in to it.

3.0L EcoDiesel Fluid Capacity

Now that you know how often you need to service your 3.0L EcoDiesel Ram 1500 or Jeep vehicle, you need to know how much fluid is used for service. Why is this important? Well, you don’t want to start servicing your vehicle and drain oil or any other fluid, just to find out you didn’t purchase enough at the store to fill your vehicle back up properly. The chart below lists most, if not all, of the fluid capacities for your vehicles components. Just remember, sometimes there are slight differences in fluid capacity across model years. Fluid capacities also vary across different model vehicles, so make sure you’re looking at the right part of the chart that applies to your vehicle. Don’t forget to make sure you check the dipstick or any fluid reservoirs to make sure you have the perfect amount of fluid when refilling your vehicle too.
