3.0L I-6 Duramax TurboDiesel Specifications & Information
Specifications on GM’s new 3.0L Inline-Six Duramax Available on 2020+ Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500 Trucks
Although GM was the first to offer a diesel in the mid-size truck market found in the Duramax Colorado or Canyon, they have been the last to adopt a half-ton diesel. GM lovers across North America, the time is finally upon us. GM will be releasing a diesel variant of their 1/2 ton trucks, in the form of a 3.0L Inline-six Duramax engine. Unlike both Ford’s 3.0L V6 Powerstroke and FCA’s 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel, the three liter Duramax will feature an inline-six cylinder design. This I-6 3.0L Duramax produces 277 horsepower and 460 lb/ft of torque and has a max towing capacity of 9,300 lbs. According to EPA estimates, 2wd trucks equipped with the 3.0L Duramax can get up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway. Have questions about this new Duramax?
